Are you keen to learn how to letter your name, basic greetings and meaningful quotes with the confidence to create a presentable lettering composition? Join Steph T (@stephtcreates) in The Immersive Lettering Bootcamp where she will take you through (a) Brush Lettering, (b) Monoline Lettering and (c) Basic Lettering Composition. You would be able to pick up a new skill and hobby at the end of this bootcamp and start developing your own lettering style. (a) Brush Lettering Regarded as a form of modern calligraphy, brush lettering is created using brush pens with flexible tips instead of the pointed nibs and ink used in traditional calligraphy. You will start by learning the foundations of brush lettering, by going through exercises involving basic strokes, small and capital letters and drills. (b) Monoline Lettering* Thereafter, you will be introduced to Monoline Lettering where you will learn about different font styles that you can create using a single pen stroke with consistent thickness. You will explore various monoline lettering styles and create a portfolio of font styles. (c) Basic Lettering Composition* With your newly acquired knowledge on both Brush Lettering and Monoline Lettering, you will learn how to create presentable compositions of your hand letterings which can be used in postcards, notes, messages, journals, through a step-by-step process. Each participant will take home a workshop guidebook, MD Japan notebook, Pentel Brush Pen, Sakura Koi Colouring Brush Marker and Sakura Pigma Micron Pen. Participants will also receive two watercolour postcards that they can letter their names and quotes on. This bootcamp is open to those aged 16 and above with no experience in lettering, including: • Beginners who are keen to pick up modern brush pen script lettering and monoline lettering • Anyone who wants to learn how to letter their names, basic greetings and meaningful quotes • Anyone who wants to learn lettering composition and create presentable compositions for quotes *For Brush Lettering Alumni, we offer an exclusive discounted rate for those who wish to join us for a segment (3:30pm - 6:00pm) of this bootcamp to learn about (b) Monoline Lettering and (c) Basic Lettering Composition to complement your Brush Lettering.
