Mindful Art for Parent-Child Bonding

90-min (inclusive of MD Japan notebooks with hand-lettered names)

Service Description

Have you been curious about mindful art journaling or are keen to experience an art activity that can promote bonding between you and your child? Mindful art journaling focuses the mind, encourages reflection and fosters well-being. No specific artistic or drawing skills are required to engage in mindful art journaling. Facilitated by Steph T (@stephtcreates), this workshop provides an opportunity for parents and children to experience a series of hands-on mindful art journaling activities that allow parent-child pairs to learn more about each other and spend quality time together in a facilitated space for creative expression. Participants will be given MD Japan notebooks hand-lettered with your names by Steph T (@stephtcreates), to journal and draw in, using the shared art materials provided during the session. These include colour pens, drawing pens, brush pens, brush markers, colour pencils, watercolour paint, highlighters, stickers, post-it notes and washi tapes. Due to the nature of the mindful art journaling activities which require focus and reflection, participants must be aged 9 and above, and each child has to be tagged to one parent (i.e. form a parent-child pair) throughout the session, in order to fully benefit from the workshop.
